I have gone through difficult times, as does anyone who has cystic fibrosis. In 2007, I was placed on a ventilator because I was going into respiratory failure. Eventually, I received a new pair of lungs in 2009. With determination, I got back on my feet and started playing a sport I love – hockey. I am proud to say I scored my first goal in February 2012, less than a year post-transplant. With resolve, I will not fail on this journey called life.
