Living to the age of 46 – and having gone through a double lung transplant and a kidney transplant – makes me pretty unique in the CF community. I love sharing my stories of survival with newcomers to the community, and always try to add a dash of my humor to my anecdotes. I try my hardest to inspire the younger generation in any and every way I can, because when I was younger, I did not have many CF adults to look up to. I have attended and graduated college, have worked full-time, and am married – white picket fence, two dogs, and all. I try to inspire, not for myself, but for the newcomers to the CF community and those who hope and believe in our fight.
