Three simple words define my life motto: You Cannot Fail. Thirteen letters that keep me going despite cystic fibrosis, a lung transplant, two partial knee replacements and other obstacles I’ve faced in my 61 years.

I was reared and continue to live my life with a strong sense of positivity and independence, fueled by the You Cannot Fail mantra my parents instilled in me.

What does You Cannot Fail mean? It means that, no matter what impediments or disappointments you may encounter, they are only bumps along the road. If you fall down 100 times, you get up 101. You always keep moving forward. It’s all about pushing through and being relentless. It’s about making a choice not to allow anything to stop you. It’s about the future, not the past. It means you can be the hero of your own story.
