In Jerry Cahill’s latest podcast, Katy Starck-Monte and her husband Joey sit down to share their story. Diagnosed at 13 months old, Katy was born the youngest of five sisters. With the support and help of her family, she lived a relatively normal life – went to school, was active, and eventually met her now-husband, Joey.
Unfortunately, she reached the end stages of CF in her late 20s and then faced a series of transplants and battled chronic rejection. Today, both Katy and her husband are thankful to the donors and are looking to the future – for however long they have – and focused on Katy living as healthy as life as possible.
