Matt Mitchell, 19, shares his journey with cystic fibrosis, exercise, and team sports. Starting at an early age, Matt played backyard sports and eventually transitioned to official team sports. Today, he plays wide receiver for the Phoenix College football team – which enables him to stay on top of his treatments and medications while remaining disciplined both in the classroom and on the field. For Matt, team sports taught him that, in order to compete, he must remain responsible and compliant.
