“To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” Ralph Waldo Emerson I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of 18 months old. I have been in and out of the hospital with lung infections a lot throughout my life. On October 25, 2008 I received a double lung transplant. The transplant has changed my life in a number of ways. I no longer struggle to breathe and that is a wonderful feeling! I celebrate my life along with my organ donors life everyday. I know that someone had to die for me to live, so I want to honor them everyday by living my life to the fullest! I live by Jerry’s words of “You Cannot Fail”. Whenever I’m struggling I think of Jerry’s words and know that failure is not an option. I plan on living a long life and I hope I can make a positive impact on the life of others by sharing my story with them!
